Oct. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Harley-Davidson Inc., the biggest
U.S. motorcycle maker, rose on plans to cut about 180 jobs, end
its Buell line and divest its MV Agusta unit under a plan to
save as much as $140 million in annual costs.
The company said today it will focus solely on its name-
brand cycles as it divests Buell and Varese, Italy-based MV
Agusta. Milwaukee-based Harley is streamlining as earnings
dropped for a ninth consecutive quarter while consumers avoided
bikes that can cost more than $40,000 when customized.
